Acid Bloom takes perfect care of the pH balance of the skin. Acid pH is essential for ideal bacteria because good bacteria loves an acidic and healthy environment. A daily dose of Acid Bloom keeps your skin hydrated, bright, plump, and juicy.

The essence makes the skin firm and plump, giving it a great amount of hydration, radiance, and a fabulous juicy glow. Apple cider vinegar balances the pH and brightens up the skin, while PHA-acid gluconolactone hydrates and supports a healthy skin barrier function.

Xylitol and betaine are wonderful sources of hydration. Gotu kola regenerates, soothes, and repairs. Reishi mushroom helps to prevent hyperpigmentation and calm irritation. Acid Bloom is perfectly suitable for all skin types, also for sensitive and reactive skin. The rich, full-bodied texture treats the skin with abundant hydration.

Apply every morning and night. Let the essence penetrate into the skin by patting it lightly onto your face and neck using the Djusie Balancing Essence Ritual. Enjoy a deeply hydrated and glowing feel through all seasons. Suitable for all skin types.

Key ingredients

GLUCONOLACTONE (Gluconolactone – Italy). Gluconolactone is a polyhydroxy acid or PHA that has similar effects to alpha hydroxy acid or AHA, but as it has larger molecules, does not penetrate as deeply into the skin as the most commonly used AHA, glycolic acid, thereby making it less irritating to the skin. Gluconolactone removes dead skin cells and moisturises the skin very effectively, smooths fine lines and the skin’s surface, and strengthens the skin’s protective barrier. In addition, it has antioxidant properties, meaning it protects the skin from free radicals. In long-term use, gluconolactone is an ideal raw material for ageing skin because it strengthens the skin and softens fine lines. It is also suitable for sensitive and even rosacea-prone skin. The gluconolactone used by Djusie is 100 % plant based.
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR (Vinegar, apple cider vinegar – Spain). Apple cider vinegar made by fermentation is a true skin-care miracle. It contains citric and malic acid, which are AHAs, amino acids, oligosaccharides, monosaccharides, vitamin C and potassium. It balances the skin’s pH and bacterial population, effectively moisturises and softens the skin, removes dead skin cells, improves skin elasticity, and protects the skin from free radicals. Thanks to fermentation, the ingredients contained in cider vinegar are broken down into an easily absorbed form. Apple cider vinegar is suitable for dull, dry and clogged skin, pigment spots, and for the treatment of skin ageing and imbalances.
REISHI (Ganoderma lucidum stem extract, also known as reishi – Finland, organic). Reishi is an adaptogenic mushroom that has been used in Chinese Medicine for thousands of years. It is called the plant of immortality and is thought to bring good luck. Reishi contains ganodermanondiol, which inhibits the activity of the tyrosinase enzyme involved in melanin synthesis, as well as the moisturising and soothing beta-glucan. Reishi is suitable for the treatment of pigment spots and scars; for sensitive, dry, and reddened skin; and for the treatment of signs of ageing Most of the world’s adaptogenic mushroom extracts are produced from fungal grains and fungal mycelium, not from the actual fruiting bodies. Djusie is the world’s first and only cosmetic line that uses Finnish, organically grown and very high-quality reishi extract, which is extracted entirely from fruiting bodies instead of grains and mycelium. The active ingredients of the mushroom, including the beta-glucans and tripertenes, are found in the fruiting bodies. GOTU KOLA (Centella asiatica leaf extract, gotu kola, also known as tiger grass, Indian pennywort or Asiatic pennywort – Madagascar). Gotu kola is a herb that has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine. It is widely used in skin care because of its numerous skin-healing effects. Gotu kola is rich in bioactive ingredients such as tripertenes, asiaticoside, asiatic acid, madecassoside and madecassic acid, which all improve the formation of collagen, especially types I and III, the most common types of collagen in the dermis. The gotu kola extract used by Djusie is a pure plant extract that does not contain solvents. The extract has been found to protect the skin from the harmful effects of UV radiation and glycation, prevent inflammation, improve collagen synthesis, firm and strengthen the skin, and increase skin elasticity.
XYLITOL (Xylitol – France). Xylitol is a humectant made from glucose. It strengthens the protective barrier of the skin and improves the formation of ceramides that protect the skin. Xylitol also has antimicrobial properties.

What skin types is Acid Bloom suitable for?

Acid Bloom is suitable for all skin types, but it has been developed especially for dull, dehydrated and uneven skin in need of brightness, hydration, smoothness and vitality.

Is Acid Bloom suitable for sensitive skin?

Acid Bloom is not the best choice for sensitive skin with inflammation or acute irritation. In this case, we recommend Peace Out Treatment Essence.

Is Acid Bloom suitable for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

Yes. Acid Bloom is also suitable for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The formula and the concentrations of all ingredients have been taken into account in the product safety assessment.

How do I use Acid Bloom?

Dispense a coin-sized amount of Acid Bloom into your palm and massage it into the face and neck with your hands until fully absorbed. If your skin feels extremely tight and dehydrated, you can apply 2–3 layers of Acid Bloom. Acid Bloom is suitable for use both morning and evening.

Can Acid Bloom be used during summer?

Yes. Acid Bloom can be used all year round, including during summer and as part of your morning routine. The low concentrations of gluconolactone and apple cider vinegar it contains do not increase the skin’s sensitivity to the sun. Nevertheless, we recommend wearing sunscreen every day.

What is the acid concentration in Acid Bloom?

Acid Bloom contains a total of 4.2% gluconolactone (a PHA) and apple cider vinegar.

What does Acid Bloom smell like?

Acid Bloom does not contain essential oils. Its scent comes from the apple cider vinegar it contains, which is made through fermentation. Although the scent is unusual for a cosmetic product, it is one of the things our customers love about it. The scent dissipates quickly from the skin.

Why is Acid Bloom green?

Acid Bloom’s green colour comes from the gotu kola leaf extract it contains, which is in powder form. This means that the extract is also very intense in colour. For example, if you compare matcha with regular brewed green tea, matcha has a very intense colour. Our customers have even nicknamed Acid Bloom “green juice for the skin”.

Luottotuote! Todella huippu hoitoneste, joka pitää ihon kirkkaana ja epäpuhtauksista erossa. Käytän tätä melkein ympäri vuoden, pois lukien pätkät jolloin käytän mielummin Peace Outia. Mieto etikkainen tuoksu, joka ei ainakaan itseäni hajuherkkänä ole haitannut.

My go-to product since day one. I use this at home and when I travel, when it's hot, humid or dry and cold weather. Keeps my skin hydrated (I have 39 y. old slightly dry skin), and I've noticed the more I layer acid bloom (3-5 layers in the morning and evening) the better my skin looks. No pimples, no dryness, just radiant and healthy skin. I can understand that everybody doesn't like the smell of this, I love it. It's kinda earthy, yet fresh and tiny bit vinegary which I like :D

To be completely honest, I was bit sceptical about the scent when I first started using this product, since it was quite different from the synthetic products that I had previously used. I have learned to appreciate the scent with time, and absolutely love this rich and super hydrating toner.

Tämä (ja Fruit Glaze) on pelastanut akneen taipuvaisen, ajoittain perioraalidermatiitista kärsivän ja superherkän ihoni niin, että ainakin nyt muutaman vuoden käytön jälkeen voin sanoa ihoni olevan NORMAALI! I used to think that acids are too harsh for my dry, sensitive and reactive skin. Little did I know! Acid Bloom is gentle and renewing - and SUPER hydrating.
