Palmitic acid

Palmitic acid – France

Palmitic acid, made from vegetable oils, is a multifunctional ingredient. It is used in emulsifiers, detergents and as a film former to prevent water evaporation, and to improve the composition of an emulsion. In Djusie’s products, palmitic acid is part of the emulsifier used in the hand cream, i.e., it enables the water and oils to mix. It creates a protective film on the surface of the skin and ensures a long-term moisturizing effect for dry skin.

Pelargonium graveolens flower oil

Pelargonium graveolens flower oil, rose geranium essential oil – Egypt

Rose geranium (more commonly known as geranium) is one of the best essential oils in terms of skin-care properties. It balances the skin’s sebum secretions, tightens and brightens the skin, revitalises the skin where it is exposed to external stressors, and treats fine lines, scars and impurities. Thanks to its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effects, geranium works excellently in the treatment of acne and impurities and soothes irritated, reddened and inflamed skin.

The aromatherapeutic effects of geranium are balancing; it elevates mood, but also calms. In addition, it reduces restlessness and anxiety and balances hormonal activity.

Pentylene glycol

Pentylene glycol – Switzerland

Pentylene glycol is used in cosmetics as a solvent and skin care agent. The plant-derived pentylene glycol in Djusie’s products acts as a solvent for the mastic resin extract used in the moisturizer.

Phytic acid

Phytic acid – Germany

Phytic acid is a chelating agent. Chelating agents are emulsion stabilizing substances, which means that they stop the raw materials in the emulsion from separating from each other and ensure that the composition remains smooth. Chelating agents bind to metal ions and neutralize them, which helps the composition of the product remain stable.

Pistacia Lentiscus Gum

Mastic tree resin extract – Switzerland

The extract made from the mastic tree resin is a natural alternative to retinol. Mastic is an aromatic resin that comes from a tree which exclusively grows on the Greek island of Chios. Djusie’s The Juice Moisturizing Power Fluid contains vectorized mastic, which means that the active ingredient is encapsulated. This is what makes the extract so effective. It has been proven by in vivo tests to increase skin density and elasticity, to give lifting effect, refine pore visibility, decrease sebum secretion and blemishes, and increase the skin’s moisture level. The extract has been found to support the retinoic acid that occurs naturally in the skin by limiting the activity of the enzyme that destroys it.

Polyglycerin-3

Polyglycerin-3 – France

Polyglycerin is polymerized glycerin and the number after the name refers to the number of glycerin units in the chain. It acts as a moisturizing agent. The vegetable polyglycerin used in Djusie’s products is part of the emulsifier in the moisturizer.

Polyglyceryl-4 Oleate

Polyglyceryl-4 Oleate – Switzerland

Polyglyceryl-4 Oleate is an emulsifier made from sunflower seed oil and plant-based glycerin that is permitted in certified natural cosmetics. It is used in various ways to mix water and oil together. It also acts as an emulsifier in cleansing oils, allowing the cleansing oil to be rinsed off the skin with water.

Propanediol

Propanediol – South Korea

Propanediol is used in cosmetics as a solvent, moisturizing humectant and skin softening agent. In addition, it enhances the absorption of active ingredients into the skin. The propanediol used by Djusie is 100% plant-based and made from corn.
